What is FAPIA? F.A.P.I.A. stands for the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. Our organization consists of members and associate members that have joined together for the express purpose of protecting the public and acting on their behalf as Consumer Advocates. To be considered for Membership, a person must be licensed Public Adjuster in the State of Florida. To be considered for an Associate Membership a person, company or firm must conduct business that serves the best interests of Insureds and not that of the Insurance Companies. F.A.P.I.A. also promotes professional education and a rigid code of professional conduct and ethics. The Windstorm Insurance Network, Inc. (WIND) is the first educational professional organization devoted solely to dealing with windstorm issues of interest to insurance practitioners. It was formed in 1999 with the goal to bring professionals together in the review and discussion of windstorm insurance issues and concerns. WIND’s mission is to offer industry insight and education for professionals interested and employed in the windstorm insurance industry.
